With heavy hearts, we share the news that our beloved Wajib Asghar (Waj), has returned to Allah. Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.

Our beloved Wajib Asghar (Waj) known for his kindness, sincerity, and compassion. He lived with a generous heart and a quiet strength, and his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for our family.

He will be remembered for his warmth, good character, and the love he showed to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.

As his Family, we have united to raise funds for charity in his name, hoping it will be a lasting ṣadaqah jāriyah for him.

We humbly ask our brothers and sisters to keep Wajib Asghar in your duʿāʾ—may Allah forgive his shortcomings, expand his grave with light, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give patience and strength to those he leaves behind.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a person dies, their deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

With this intention, any contribution—no matter the amount—will mean more than words can express.

A water well is a form of Ṣadaqah Jāriyah — a charity that continues to benefit people long after it is given, and whose reward continues to reach the deceased.

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported that he asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (ﷺ), said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “A drink of water.”

We are raising funds to build a water well as a form of ongoing charity in his name. Providing clean water is a source of life and a lasting good deed, benefiting families for years to come. Through this effort, we hope the reward of every drop of water given will continue as ṣadaqah jāriyah for him, bringing benefit to others and mercy by the will of Allah.

Every drop of water taken, every wuḍūʾ made, and every life benefited becomes a source of ongoing reward.

There is no act of charity in this life that is more lasting and rewarding than giving Sadaqah Jariyah. Not only is Sadaqah Jariyah a beautiful gift that benefits others in this lifetime, Sadaqah Jariyah also rewards us and our loved ones in this lifetime and the next.

Dua:

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him.

Expand his grave and illuminate it with Your light.

Accept this charity on his behalf and make it a means of raising his rank in Jannah.

Make every drop of water a source of reward for him, and every life it benefits a witness in his favour.

Grant him Jannat al-Firdaws without reckoning, and reunite him with his loved ones in the Hereafter.
