Well folks, this is a fundraiser that I never thought would be needed. Tory, Sabrina and Harrison need your support. I met Tory and Sabrina when they became part of my Firehouse Subs team in Opelika, AL. Tory had just returned from Iraq and Sabrina was working part-time while in high school. Sabrina enrolled in the Southern Union Nursing Program and shortly after these two began their love story. Tory proposed the day before she graduated and they married on April 25, 2009. Sabrina took a nursing position in Columbus, GA where she and Tory, who was my Area Manager there, started living their best life. Sabrina completed her Bachelors in Nursing and then CRNA. Tory returned to college and has since obtained his dream job of teaching.

This young vibrant couple have worked hard and built a wonderful life together. God has blessed them with Harrison. Harrison is now 1 year old and growing! After Harrison's birth, Sabrina noticed that she didn't regain her strength and stamina. Being in the medical field, she knew something wasn't right. She sought medical care and they discovered that she had cancerous tumors in her abdomen. They journeyed to MD Anderson in Houston, TX to see a specialist. While there, the doctors were unable to determine just exactly what type of cancer Sabrina had. Cancer of "unknown origin" is the official term. The doctors have prescribed several different types of chemo - but nothing has slowed the tumors down. Sabrina's health has continued to decline.

Fast forward 6 months; after one last trip to MD Anderson, the doctors are at a loss. Sabrina is weak, unable to eat and spending her last days at home with Harrison and Tory. She has been so strong and with God's help, acceptd the inevitable. She will not see Harrison grow up and will not grow old with the love of her life. It has been heartbreaking to watch this young 36 year old woman fight a losing battle.

Sabrina (Adams) and Tory (Baggett) were born and raised in the Opelika-Auburn area, so you probably know them or their families. They haven't really asked for much, but I wanted you all to know that this is happening to some pretty special people. I hope that you will join me in praying for them in the coming days. I also ask that you help me in supporting Tory and Harrison as they will continue their lives without Sabrina. By providing some financial support, Tory will have less worries during this time so that he can concentrate on giving Harrison the best life possible.
