let’s grow our family
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for a family who initially wanted to remain anonymous, but after some convincing from friends, they agreed to let us tell people who they are. Many of you probably know Kourtney, Crissy, and Amelia. Personally, they are some of my favorite people in the whole world and I have never met more deserving people. They are so loving, kind, funny, and they’re both such great parents to Amelia! For some of us, having babies happens without even thinking about it. For others, the journey can be much more difficult. Kourtney and Crissy are a perfect example. For them, it’s a journey (for obvious reasons) and this journey has been an expensive one so far. Amelia always talks about being a big sister. And everyone who knows her and knows how precious and gentle she is and how great of a big sister she would be. She literally carries around her baby dolls and says she is the big sister. This family is so loved and cared for by many people in their community and most everyone I know would describe them as incredible mothers, friends, and family! They have recently started the expensive process of IUI/IVF treatments. As all couples who undergo fertility treatment, they had high hopes. But after failed IUI treatment, the process of growing their family is becoming increasingly more expensive and more emotionally taxing. They are about to go through another round of fertility treatment and we are looking for assistance with funding treatments to help give them a kick start to growing their family. They already have some of the money saved. Both Crissy and Kourtney are incredibly hard working with established careers. Crissy has been working in logistics for over 18 years and anyone who knows her knows she is extremely committed and always works hard. Kourtney recently graduated nursing school and immediately started working in the hospital as a RN. She works hard and is picking up extra shifts to help pay for the treatments. For 2 + years they were operating on one salary while Kourtney was in nursing school and anyone who knows them knows it was a struggle, but they made it through. They are able to provide a stable, loving home for Amelia and Sawyer (fur baby) with no problem and just want to continue growing their family. At this point, everything and anything will help. Sometimes we see children brought into this world under less than fortunate circumstances, or born to parents who don’t want children. That is not the case here. It’s heartbreaking when the very people who want more than anything to grow their family are held back by finances. Everyone knows kids are expensive lol and one thing I will say is Amelia NEVER goes without and this girl gets everything she needs, so providing for a family is no trouble for them. But when fertility treatments can cost anywhere from $7,500-$30,000, sometimes the initial help is needed. Especially after they have already attempted it and it hasn’t worked. They both have pretty strong faith and they know this is happening for a reason and the timing of all of this is in divine order. Even though it has been an emotional and heartbreaking process, they have not lost their faith. However, sometimes we all know it’s okay to ask for a little help. There is this African proverb that Kourtney shares with me “While you’re praying, move your feet.” So while their faith is strong, they know it’s ok to ask for help. And this applies to all families who struggle with fertility. ❤️ our hearts go out to all of you.
So please, if you are able to donate, share this fundraiser with others, or even send prayers their way… know that any little bit is greatly appreciated.
