Hello, friends, fans, FRAMILY!
As you may have heard, Kenny had several small strokes on 10/13/25. He had a very bad headache and really high blood pressure. I started a neuro exam and he failed—slurring his words and having difficulty getting them out. We got him to the ER in time to receive Tinecteplase, one of the newer clot-busting drugs. Within 45 minutes, the clots were starting to break up and the blood flow was returning to his brain, but some damage had already occurred. They airlifted him to Dell Seton UT in Austin where he was admitted to the Neuro ICU. They monitored him closely and started a Nicardipine drip to manage his blood pressure. We got no sleep the first night—complete neuro checks every 30 minutes until midnight, then every hour for the next 16. He had an MRI/MRA head and neck, Cardiac Bubble Test, and Bilateral Carotids Ultrasound. They released him Wednesday evening.
He's tired, exhausted actually. He's still having difficulty with his speech, but will start speech therapy on 10/31.
We hate creating a GoFundMe, but really don't know when he'll be able to start gigging again. We've had quite a few people ask about helping out financially, so we finally decided to do this.
Thanks so much to everyone who has called, texted, messaged, commented, sent love, Bible verses, and prayers—all of the offers to help with meals, errands, and anything else we may need! We know that God has heard all of these prayers and answered with a resounding YES! He is faithful and good, ALL OF THE TIME!
We love each of you and are blessed by your being in our lives.
