Hi, my name is Irie Souljah I’m a singer, musician, and producer from Barcelona who has lived in Jamaica for over a decade, making music and building my life here.
Jamaica has given me, and so many others, some of the world’s greatest gifts music, culture, spirituality, food, and warmth that reaches every corner of the globe. Now, after Hurricane Melissa, it’s time for us to give back to this island that has given us so much.
The west side of the island has been hit especially hard. Families have lost homes, belongings, and access to basic necessities. With a group of close friends and colleagues in the music and creative community, we’re organizing an on-the-ground relief effort to reach the most affected communities and provide help directly
Our plan:
1. Rent trucks and vehicles to reach rural and impacted areas
2. Partner with local businesses to package boxes of food, water, and essential supplies
3. Distribute clothing, home items, and hygiene products.
4. Buy zincfence, board and materials to help rebuild destroyed infrastructure.
Every dollar raised will go toward transportation, supplies, and logistics to make sure help reaches those who need it most.
This is a community-led effort powered by love, unity, and gratitude. Jamaica has been a heartbeat to the world — now let’s send some love back her way.
Thank you for your generosity, your shares, and your prayers. Together, we can help Jamaica rise again.
