Feed the Homeless in Washington, D.C.
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Miranda Milton. I am a senior currently attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I started this GoFundMe campaign when I was in 11th grade attending Frederick Douglass High School. Since then, I raised over $3,000 to provide food and personal hygiene items for the homeless in Washington, D.C. I last distributed the items on November 19, 2022. Very soon, I will start raising funds to help the homeless stay warm during this winter. The money I raise will be used to purchase hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and hand warmers for 200-300 homeless people so they can be a little warmer and more comfortable outside. I'm very passionate about my campaign because I feel that homeless people are misrepresented and prejudged. The leading causes of homelessness are lack of affordable housing, poverty, or unemployment. Many are homeless because unfortunate events have happened to them that were beyond their control. It is my hope and desire that I can make a difference in someone's life by showing them some compassion. Please help me meet my goal of $4500 total raised funds to help the homeless. Your donation will be much appreciated. Thank you!
