Our mom, Sherry Gerstenberg, had an extensive back/spinal surgery November 2014.  Since the surgery, she has had limited feeling from her waist down and been unable to walk or live independently.  She is making a slow yet progressive recovery however is learning to live and function in a wheelchair until the day comes when she is able to walk again.  Our family unfortunately does not have a wheelchair friendly residence for her to live in.  We are creating a small studio apartment on family property that will be customized to meet her needs of living in a wheelchair and allow her more independence.  To make this happen, our goal is to raise $10,000 by May 15th so we can begin construction on Sherry's apartment.  

*UPDATE* We have hit our original goal and have moved on to Phase 2 of this fundraiser.  Our goal is to raise $9,000 by 6/12/15 to complete the studio apartment!
