Help a Mother fight for her daughter in family court!

Hello beautiful world we have a dear sister of mine who desperately needs our help!

She was married for 15 years and they share an adorable 10 year old daughter. After my friend suffered from domestic violence, in 2018, they separated, and the child lived with mom while dad moved out of state. In 2020, during the pandemic mom brought their daughter to visit him out of state with the intent that visit would last only about a month during the summer. During that summer, the child’s dad falsely accused my friend of sexual abuse, filed for divorce and emergency custody, and because the child was out of state during this dispute, my friend was not able to pick up her child as scheduled. She has since suffered through delays in the court process due to COVID, had to endure monitored visitations, numerous psych evaluations, financial and litigation abuse, all while trying to maintain a positive relationship with her daughter. She received a full custody evaluation that was strongly in her favor and of course dad disputed and litigated and is delaying the court adopting its recommendations. As expected, my friend’s daughter is experiencing feelings of confusion, alienation and anxiety and is now exhibiting alienating behavior towards my friend, her loving mother. For over 1,400 days my friend’s daughter has been separated from a loving mother and she doesn’t understand why.

My friend used to be the most vibrant, energetic happy individual. She loved her life. She now works 3 jobs, never rests, goes to therapy, suffers from CPTSD and anxiety, but still attempts to productively coparent with her ex. I have never met anyone who works more or harder than her. He rarely complies with court orders regarding the child and recently just denied by friend any access to her child, even though she is entitled to 3x calls a week and 2 visits a month with her child while they negotiate a final 50/50 custody arrangement. My friend currently hasn’t spoken to or been given access to her daughter in over 2 weeks. The situation is deteriorating rapidly and I’m starting this gofundme so that my friend can obtain an attorney to file an ex parte motion and make the court appearances necessary so she can reunify with her daughter, and they can both get back on the road to healing from this traumatic time in their lives. I’m humbly asking my community to help this woman, whom I greatly respect and admire, and her daughter. They both deserve some relief from this horrible 4-year ordeal.

As this is such a high conflict situation currently in the court system, in order to protect my friend and her daughter, I am not going to use their names or photos. As you will recall I also went through my own challenging divorce and custody situation, and she was instrumental in helping me stay on track on the journey to healing. I want to help her family now in any way I can and appreciate any help you can provide.

Let's help this mama get her daughter back that way they can start the long journey of healing they so desperately need. They both deserve peace and happiness.
