My name is Shenir Dennis and I am raising funds to help support my father, Ruddy Dennis. In 2009, my father was deported to Jamaica and has since made a living being a farmer in the parish he was born, St. Elizabeth. Being a farmer has had its challenges, but my father has more or less been able to make a living from the produce he has sold. I have only been able to visit my father three times since he was deported (in 2011, 2016, and 2022 respectively) due to limited funds. That being said, in the past year, my father unfortunately fell from a tree he'd been climbing to harvest fruit from and injured his hand in the process. These injuries have made it extremely hard for him to attend to his farm; thus, affecting his overall livelihood. The area he lives in is about 3 hours away from a full-service hospital and the medical fees are extremely high, particularly because of the high currency exchange (1 USD = 154.51 JMD). Therefore, I am humbly requesting help with funding all associated medical fees for follow-up doctor visits, physical therapy, and medications.
