Seven years ago my girlfriend and I were invited by her daughter and husband to leave our longtime home in Massachusetts to move to their property in New Hampshire so we could be closer to them, help each other out and she would take care of us for the rest of our lives.
I converted their garage into an in-law apartment with my own money with the knowledge that I would live there for the rest of my life.  Four years ago my girlfriend of 25 years passed away.
Fast forward 4 years...  now the family I trusted to allow me to live out my days on their property is now evicting me from my home that I invested in and had built 7 years ago.
I am on disability and social security and with other inherited financial obligations, I have no money for a security deposit, first or last months rent on a new apartment.
I am between a rock and a hard place making it difficult to do anything. I am also seeking legal advice which is $250 per hour to advise me of my rights.
