Hi, I'm Louise and urgently asking for help for Skwidji, my daughter's beloved dog, and on behalf of all who love her (which is almost everyone she has ever met).
Suddenly and with no warning Skwidji went from a happy, healthy, 5 years young dog to being completely paralysed from the waist down, losing all movement in her back legs, and continence in her bowels and bladder.
Currently she is needing 24/7 round the clock care, which my daughter is lovingly giving her (with all of her very broken heart).
She has suspected IVDD (slipped or ruptured spinal disc).
Tests for other causes are pending, but she is sadly not making any recovery to rule out the IVDD diagnosis. And is deteriorating by the day.
She URGENTLY needs an MRI. And once we have that result, we will fund raise again for surgery costs if surgery is possible.
The PDSA where she usuaully receives vetinary care will not subsidise this, and there are no free MRI services available.
The PDSA advised euthanasia as our only option. And we cannot even consider this. Without a clear prognosis.
So we need to raise the cost (£4000) urgently for an MRI.
PLEASE HELP! Even if all you can give is a small amount and are happy to share this as far and wide as you can?
Skwidji is not just 'a dog'.
She is an emotional support dog for my daughter and the most gentle and beautiful spirit towards every human and animal she has ever encountered (including cats, birds, squirrels etc!)
She is my daughter's whole world, and the world is a much brighter and more beautiful place for her being in it.
Famous for her wiggly bottom and waggy tail......please help us to help her to wiggle again.
Thank you, with love, Louise, and Zola. And Skwidji...Xx
