Baby Ryleigh K. Reynolds Burial

This account was created to raise donations for a very special family.
Kody and Brooke Reynolds, along with their precious daughter, Olivia, were ready to add a new member to their family. Brooke and Kody starting trying for a new baby. Soon after, they got a positive result from a pregnancy test! Brooke and baby Reynolds were doing well, aside from some pretty intense morning sickness. Then in December 2017 they found out they were expecting another little girl! They began to prepare for sweet Ryleigh Kate. They went to the doctor for the 20 week anatomy check and check up. That day everything turned upside down.
While checking the baby out, they found that she had no kidneys. They went to see a specialist the next day where it was confirmed that she had no kidneys and low amniotic fluid and wouldn’t make it outside of the womb.  She was diagnosed with Potter’s Syndrome.  They were faced with one of the hardest decisions any one should ever have to make. They could terminate the pregnancy, but would have to travel outside of the state to do it due to it being a late term termination. Or Brooke could carry the baby to term or as long as her body would let her and give birth to either a stillborn or a baby that would pass within moments of being born.

As family and friends reassured them that whatever choice they made would be the right one, Brooke courageously chose to carry the baby to term. To be able to feel her move and enjoy the short time she had with her as best as she could until God calls her home.

This family has handled this with such strength and grace. Brooke has become the strongest woman that I know and I wonder every day how she does it. All while being amazed and proud of her. It’s truly unbelievable.
