Hi, my name is Sharon, and I’m fundraising to help my son, his girlfriend, and my precious little granddaughter.

On Christmas Day, while preparing dinner and exchanging gifts, a devastating fire broke out and tore through the home and garden where Stefanie, Ryan, baby Aria, and their two dogs were living.

Thankfully, everyone escaped unharmed, but the devastation left behind is something that will take a very long time to recover from.

They are a young family with a new baby who were so excited to be celebrating Aria’s first Christmas. The photo I’ve shared was taken just two hours before the fire started. They are now traumatised, without a home, and have lost many of their belongings.

Only a few weeks before Christmas, Ryan passed his trades test and became a newly qualified joiner. He spent four years building his tool kit, which has now all been destroyed. As a result, he’s unable to carry out the work he had booked in. This is just one of the many ways this fire has impacted their lives.

Stefanie is a young new mum on maternity leave and is heartbroken to be without the comfort of her home — a place she took great pride in creating and caring for her family.

As a family, we are doing everything we can to support them during this incredibly difficult time. I’ve set up this fundraiser to help them begin rebuilding their lives and replacing what was lost. It’s heartbreaking that they’ve had to go through this, especially at this time of year.
