Ryan Buxton's Family Fund

Hi, my name is Joel and I worked with Ryan for five and a half years before he lost his battle with depression and took his life last week. Ryan leaves behind two young boys, Bob (8) and Beck (9), who will be in the care of their mom and other immediate family.

 

 

I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Ex Novo Brewing Company, where he was the head brewer. We are missing him as a friend, a leader and mentor, and as the goofball pain in the ass he always seemed to be :) We have been thinking of ways to help his boys and those around them in this genuinely profound and heartbreaking tragedy. We have been asked by many how they can help, and while we will never be able to provide what Ryan did as their Dad, we can help in some real, tangible ways in the short and long term.

 

Funds will be used in the short term to help with therapy for the boys, including specialized camps, iPads for art therapy, unexpected care during the summer, and any other ideas the family or community may have. We want the boys to feel seen, loved, supported, and find healthy ways to cope and heal.

 

Additional donations will be used to seed a College Savings Fund for the boys, which can include tuition, books and room and board.
