Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. We are Nate and Melanie Agentis and are currently a family of 6 working on number 7! We are at the beginning of our second adoption journey and are really looking forward to see God's hand of love and provision. In 2013 we brought home our daughter Mayzee and in July of 2014 we had our adoption finalization, which was such an amazing day for our entire family. We've grown to have an incredible relationship with her birthmom and love to see how it's continued to develop.
In the fall of 2014 God began to work in our hearts to adopt again and this time it was for an older child. We had come across a 14 year old girl from Ethiopia that we instantly fell in love with. After some unexpected turns of events, she was to be adopted by another family. While that was a hard circumstance for us to journey through, the Lord ultimately had another plan for our family.
After some time of healing and prayer we came across another 14 year old girl from Ethiopia and we just knew that we needed to move forward. We have since then been officially "Matched" with her and are in the process now of filling out a TON of paperwork followed with a TON of waiting. We also have a lot of fundraising that will need to be done...and that's where you come in! We are firm believers that adoption is very much the work of community, especially the community of believers, coming together to lift each other up and help each other out.
There will be a lot of expenses that goes with all the paperwork and with the travel (we will be required to travel over to Ethiopia twice this year). This has always been an aspect that has been a challenge for us, that ackward moment of having to ask for financial help or support but we do believe that God loves to bless in the giving and receiving. It would be a tremendous blessing to our family if you would feel led to give as well as lifting our family up in prayer. Please pray specifically for God's will to be done, her protection, safety and emotional healing, for our patience in the waiting and for the training and prep work that we are doing for our home, for financial needs to be met, for travel safety, and most of all for God to be glorified and the name of Jesus to be exalted!
