Holiday Adopt a Family
Donation protected
The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) at Rush University is raising money for the two families we have adopted during this holiday season! We are asking for your help in order to raise the funds needed to be able to help provide some much needed blessings for two local families in need. All of the money raised will be used to buy the items and gifts requested by each family.
The first family we are hoping to help is going through an extremely difficult time. The mother recently passed away during child birth and the father experienced a mental breakdown as a result of the loss of his wife. In the process, he lost his job as well. He is struggling to provide for his 4 children, a 1-month old, 5 year old, 10 year old, and 12 year old. We really would love to provide a extra blessings for this family during such a difficult time in their lives. They have requested education games for the children, various clothes, and gift cards for groceries and household items.
Our second family is going through a difficult time as well. The mother of the second family has recently experienced homelessness and is unemployed. It is hard enough to be a mom, but it's even harder when you are a single, unemployed mother. As a result, she is struggling to provide for her three children, ages 1, 9, and 12. She has requested basic household items such as bedding sets, pillows, blankets, paper towels, toilet paper, grocery items, and clothing items. In addition, we hope to be able to purchase some fun toys and games for each of the children as well.
Please help us make things a little brighter for these two deserving families by donating! If you would rather to pick out a specific gift for one of the families, you can use the Amazon Wish List we have created by following the link provided below.
Thank you for helping us make a difference for our adopted families!! It is very much appreciated.
