Rural Hampton says NO to big wind turbines.

We are the Hampton Windfarm Action Group. We are all residents of a tiny rural community in the Central West area of NSW where a developer wishes to construct two 120 metre high wind turbines. These turbines will be sited within 300 metres of the closest residents and 900 metres of our little primary school. They will have a devastating impact on
- the residents of our scenic rural village
- our local farming, hospitality and accommodation businesses
- our historic and heritage listed buildings and
- our beautiful natural environment, including some threatened species.
Our little community needs to put together an evidence based response to this development application and so require funds to pay for expert peer review of the reports the developer has submitted to Council.
If this development is approved it will likely set a precedent for future wind energy projects going forward being built closer to rural residences. So help us now to prevent it happening in our rural village now and other rural villages in the future.
