Our brief story:
Hey everyone, my name is Sebrina,
Summer 2016 Collin and I met in Antigua! The day we laid eyes on each other, we were inseparable! From that summer and ever since we have travelled back and forth from Antigua to London and London to Antigua.
In August 2018 we welcomed our son Amari to the world and during that year we started the visa process for collin to move to England. Unfortunately we came across a few hurdles regarding work/financial requirements and then ..... COVID-19!!! Sadly this slowed us down but we've always had a goal and we continue to stay positive. FINALLY the beginning of this year January 2022 I found work that fulfilled all the requirements to process the visa and we were back on track and on the road to being together as a family in one country. Suddenly on May 10th Amari fell ill and was taken to A&E he has been diagnosed with an illness called Encephalitis this is a neuro condition where his body attacks his own cells. He has been transferred three times to different hospitals and in and out of intensive care, during this time he has had many complications to deal with from seizures to kidney failure, you name it. He is honestly the strongest little 3 year old ever!!!
He is now on the road to recovery but it’s going to take time and patience. He will have to learn how to walk, talk and eat all over again.
During this time we have had to dip into our savings to get an emergency flight for Collin to fly back to England so that he can be with us,
Collin was in London from May 13th but had no choice due to work to go back to Antigua on 30th of June and in order to process the visa he has to be in Antigua, so when he will be able to come back to London depends on when, the visa is processed. We need him back ASAP as I need his support and comfort right now more than ever, and Amari needs all the support he can get during his recovery.
Starting a Go Fund Me is the last thing I wanted to do but due to me now not working again I don't know when I will be able to save enough money for the visa process. Any support to help me get my family back together will be greatly appreciated, I will also give updates on Amari and his recovery and also how we are getting on with the visa process.
Thank you in advance for any contributions and for taking the time to read our story. We appreciate any help we get.
