As some of you will know, our baby boy Rupert started his TIMband journey at the start of August, at the very young age of 4 months old.
After developing torticollis during a difficult forceps delivery, leaving him unable to turn his head to the left for the first three months of his life, resulting in him developing a very severe case of plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. aka flat head syndrome.
At this moment in time the NHS do not fund the treatment needed to correct this.
With the help of close family we were able to raise the £2000 needed to cover the cost of the treatment and helmet.
Unfortunately as Rupert needed to start treatment so young he has now outgrown his helmet. Leaving his condition still in the severe category.
We are hoping to raise enough money as soon as possible to cover the cost of his second round of treatment, as there is a limited window of time before regression takes us back to square one. This second round of treatment will finally bring him out of the severe category and into the all clear of not needing further medical intervention later on in life.
Any help and support would be greatly appreciated.
