In 2026, I’ll be taking on London Marathon and running in memory of my father-in-law, Nick, who sadly passed away in late 2022 after a battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Nick was an incredibly kind, generous and funny man, and his loss is still deeply felt by all of us. Running London Marathon feels like a meaningful way to mark what he meant to our family.
I’m raising money to benefit DKMS FOUNDATION recommended to me by my wife, her step-mum and sisters.
DKMS FOUNDATION do incredible work and are dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders. Their mission is to provide a matching donor for every blood cancer patient in need of a blood stem cell donation. To make this happen they raise awareness, recruit and retain potential blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance of life, raise funds to match donor registration costs, and improve blood cancer therapies by their research.
Running London will be a huge challenge - physically and mentally - but every step will be fuelled by your support and by the memory of Nick. Any donation, big or small, will make a genuine difference and will be massively appreciated. Thank you for reading and supporting this brilliant charity.
