Hi Everyone,

My name is Miles, and I am an ambassador for the Make Life Kind Foundation. Through this role, I see first-hand just how vital this work is for young people growing up in areas of deprivation.

Make Life Kind supports independent youth clubs by providing positive role models who run evening workshops focused on aspirations, goal-setting, confidence building, work experience, anti-racism, anti-bullying, and online safety. These sessions give young people the belief, guidance, and tools they need to make positive choices for their future.

For many young people, these youth clubs are far more than just a place to meet. They are safe havens — offering warmth, food, toiletries, clothing, and most importantly, a secure space away from negative outside influences. Despite the life-changing work they do, many of these clubs are underfunded and in urgent need of support.

To help make a difference, I am running Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon to raise funds for Make Life Kind. Every mile I run will go towards one Friday evening aspirations workshop and gift drop for a youth club in the North which I will be delivering — reaching young people at a time when guidance and positive role models matter more than ever.

When negative paths are pulling at them, having someone believe in them can genuinely change the direction of a young person’s life.

My fundraising goal is £200, which will fully fund one complete youth club session. Every single pound donated goes directly towards supporting young people and helping them stay on the right path.
