Hello everyone, my name is Ester Pintor Violero, and although I’m not from Valencia, I’m creating this gofundpage to help out the people, towns and animals badly impacted by the disastrous DANA that hit the East part of Spain the past Tuesday 29th October, from the UK or anywhere in the world you would like to help from.

So far (the official numbers) have informed us that 217 people have died but there are plenty still missing. The people from the worst affected areas (68 towns!) have lost nearly everything, and it will take years to overcome the upcoming challenge of rebuilding.

Myself with the help of a good friend and fellow BMFer Marta (also from Spain), as well as of our good friend Tom Mannigns (BMF Clapham) are organising a charity 5km run on Saturday 16th November at 11:30am in Clapham Common, London, UK.

It’s of course not a race, the idea is to, just like the amazing people of Spain have done, to come together, raise awareness and collect money that will then be sent to those affected by the catastrophe.

The money will be then transferred to the Spanish Oxfam.

Like most Spaniards that live abroad, we feel like there is not much we can do from afar, and therefore we decided to come together, and contribute, even if it’s just with one pound, to this cause.

If you cannot attend but would still love to help, that’s absolutely fine, you can still help by donating if you wish to.

Helps us help, and make the movement of #elpueblosalvaalpueblo (the people help the people - not the government) become even bigger and international.

Hola a todos, my nombre es Ester Pintor Violero, y aunque no soy de Valencia, he creado esta página the gofundme para ayudar a la gente, los pueblos y los animales que han sido affectados for la DANA desastrosa que chocó la parte Este de España el pasado Martes 29 de Octubre. Desde Reino Unido o cualquier parte del mundo en el que te gustaría ayudar.

Por ahora (los números oficiales) nos han informado de que 217 personas han perdido la vida, pero que aún hay muchos desaparecidos. La personas de las zonas mas afectadas (68 pueblos) lo han perdido todo o casi todo, y les llevará años

reconstruir lo destruido.

Yo, con la ayuda de mi amiga Marta (española también), y con la ayuda de nuestro amigo Tom Mannings (BFM Clapahm) estamos organizando una carrera benéfica de 5 kilómetros el Sábado 16 de Noviembre a las 11:30 de la tarde, en Clapham Common, Londres, (Reino Unido).

No es una carrera en sí. La idea es, al igual que la gente incredible de España, es reunirse, generar conocimiento, y recaudar dinero, que será transferido a Oxfam España.

Como la mayoría de los Españoles que vivimos fuera, nos sentimos un poco impotentes por no poder ayudar más. Por eso hemos decidio juntarnos y contribuir, aunque sólo sea con una libra (o euro). Toda ayuda es ayuda.

Si no puedes venir, pero aún te gustaría ayudar, no pasa nada, todavía puedes contribuir donando dinero.

Ayúdanos a ayudar, y hacer que el movimiento empezado en España #elpueblosalvaalpueblo se convierta en un movimiento incluso mayor e internacional.
