Hi! My name is Alison Pike. I am a rising fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, and I have the honor and privilege to be training for this year’s 2025 Allianz Richmond Marathon, taking place on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This marathon holds a special place in my heart because, in 2023, I ran my first marathon ever on this very same course.

But, more importantly, that run, training block, and everything I endured that year changed my life and inspired me to set a goal for myself each time I ran a race. Recently, that goal has been to run for a designated charity.

SARA, the Sexual Assault Resource Agency, is an amazing non-profit organization located in Charlottesville, VA. I have worked with SARA for the past two years, and they have created a significant impact on my life. This upcoming marathon training block and race are dedicated to SARA.

I would greatly appreciate any donations to this organization. Thankfully, through this GoFundMe link, all donations go directly to the organization. I’m also excited to be running alongside other friends within the UVA community and look forward to rerunning this course in the beautiful city of Richmond, hopefully setting a PR!!
