Hi, I'm running the Great North Run in memory of my son Rupert, who we lost during pregnancy in January 2025. Rupert was deeply loved and losing him brought a level of heartbreak that is difficult to put into words.

It is still a loss we feel daily, but the support we had from family, friends and professionals got us through things. I'm running the Great North Run to raise money for Sands, a UK based charity which offers support for those affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. It supports families across the entirety of the UK through bereavement support, training healthcare professionals and funding research studies.

Any support will help other families get through the unimaginable pain of losing a child.
