Running for Rimualdo
Donation protected
On August 19, 2020, we tragically lost Matthew Scott Rimualdo at the young age of 23. A committed family man and truly a friend to all, Matt brought joy to our entire community. Energetic CYO player-turned-coach, obsessive golfer, spirited fan of life, and natural-born entertainer in every manner, Matt brought his enthusiasm and personal style to everything he did.
Matt was a bright light in the lives of so many and that light went out far too soon. Truly the life of the party and a person who would go to great lengths to make someone’s day or put a smile on their face. Whether he was rallying the troops for a round of car bombs, eating an entire pumpkin pie at our annual Friendsgiving (and simultaneously winning a bet after I said he couldn’t), or *gracefully* belting out old Taylor Swift songs at Camp, Rimualdo was impossible to miss in any room he was in and did his absolute best to ensure everyone was having the time of their lives. Even in the most mundane situations, being with Rimualdo made it feel like you were doing something special.
He is remembered for many things, not least being his extraordinary passion, his varied vocabulary (can I get a Rat Dog?), his novel dance moves, and his “eclectic” dress code. Through this, he lives on prominently in the memory of so many.
On what would have been Matt’s 24th birthday, we will be running 24 miles throughout the day to raise money and bring awareness to mental health initiatives. Donations or participation in any form -whether it’s a 2.4 mile walk, educating yourself on mental health, reaching out to a friend in need, or whatever else- is greatly appreciated!
