Running for Palliative Care – In Memory of My Mam
Hi, my name is Bronagh, and as some of you may already know, I lost my beautiful mam back in January to an incurable cancer. It hasn’t been easy navigating this weird and wonderful life without her, but I am grateful every day for the strength and resilience she radiated during her battle.
She fought for three years, making the most of every moment, and through it all, she kept an unwaveringly positive attitude. Her courage and spirit continue to inspire me.
Now, it’s my turn to give back in a way that honors her. My friend Eilis and I have decided to run the AJ Bell Manchester Half Marathon on the 18th of May to raise funds for the Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Team — a group of amazing professionals who supported my mam throughout her diagnosis and were by her side during her final months. Their care, kindness, and compassion made such a difference in our lives during a truly challenging time, and I want to help ensure that others can receive the same level of support.
The Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Team is a charity that is solely dependent on community support to continue their vital work. Every donation, whether big or small, will go directly to helping this incredible team provide care to families who need it most.
It would mean the world to me if you could donate, share, or offer any kind of support. Your generosity will not only honor my mam’s memory, but also help continue the work of those who helped her when we needed it the most.
Thank you in advance for all your kindness and support.
With love,
Bronagh and Eilis
