Running for Our ICU Team – Every Step for Wellbeing
Donation protected
We’re ICU nurses from St John’s Hospital — Andrew, Urszula, Nicola, and Lynsey — taking on the Edinburgh Hairy Haggis Team Relay this May!
Every day, we care for people in their most critical and vulnerable moments. Now, we’re stepping into a new kind of challenge — trading hospital corridors for coastal trails — to celebrate the resilience, strength, and bond we’ve built as a team.
This run is about more than just the miles. It’s about showing up for each other, pushing past limits, and keeping our team spirit alive through everything we face on shift.
Here’s how we’re tackling it:
Andrew – 1st Leg: The Royal Leg (8.3 miles)
Urszula – 2nd Leg: The Cock and Pan Leg (5.5 miles)
Nicola – 3rd Leg: The Gosford Leg (8 miles)
Lynsey – 4th Leg: The Glory Leg (4.4 miles)
We’re running to support wellbeing and team spirit in our ICU — from educational resources and reflective spaces to small things that make a big difference on tough days.
If you’d like to support us, whether with a cheer, a share, or a small donation, we’d be so grateful.
Let’s run this for the night shifts, the laughs, the tears, and the amazing people behind the masks.
