I am excited to announce that I will be running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon as a charity runner for the New York Urban League (NYUL)! As a Black law student, I know firsthand the transformative power of education. Soon, I will enter the legal profession, where only 5% of lawyers in the U.S. are Black. This stark reality underscores the importance of organizations like NYUL, which work tirelessly to provide students from underserved communities with access to education, mentorship, and career opportunities.

The NYUL has been a driving force for educational equity and economic empowerment for over a century, ensuring that young people have the resources they need to succeed. Running this marathon is about more than just crossing the finish line—it’s about making a tangible impact.
