Hi my name is Jamal, and I just qualified to be on the ballot for Burbank City Clerk in the November 8th general midterm election. I’m raising initial campaign funds to cover election fees due this Wednesday, August 17th. I learned about the City Clerk opening last Saturday (Aug 6th). I rushed and acquired 81 signatures (50 required) from friends, and fellow Burbank registered voters, filled out mountains of paperwork, and submitted it by last Friday's (Aug 12th) deadline. And yes, I'm exhausted. The good news is that I qualified and I'm primed to be on the Fall ballot. The challenging news is now I need to clear one final hurdle to make it official. The LA county processing fee for candidacy is $1,600.

I’m asking you, my friends, to help me clear this last obstacle. In honor of the 80+ signatures I've secured, I’m terming this the 80 for 20 challenge.
