CAMEO (Come & Meet Each Other) is our local club in Wadhurst for older people. It’s entirely run by volunteers. CAMEO brings the older members of our community together each week in the Commemoration Hall for a meal, exercises and activities. Our members pay a small amount towards the costs but for many their resources are limited. Otherwise CAMEO relies on donations. Sometimes we try to arrange a day out, or for an entertainer to visit. It’s a wonderful club and I love volunteering there and I want to raise some money to support CAMEO. So I’m challenging myself to run 60 miles during March – and for al novice runner like me that’s quite scary! Sadly no one would mistake me for an athlete!
