Running for Burnhill FC CIC!

We are delighted to announce that club captain Nelson Cummins will also be running for Burnhill FC, supporting James in reaching the fundraising goal!

James and Nelson are taking on the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise essential funds for Burnhill FC CIC (SC697105), helping the club expand to meet the unprecedented demand for its sessions.

This volunteer-run Community Interest Company supports players from marginalised and minoritised backgrounds to participate in SAFA-affiliated football.

Five days a week, Burnhill serves a community of players who face multiple forms of deprivation, as well as significant social, financial, travel, and mental health barriers that would otherwise limit their participation in organised and competitive football.

Burnhill FC is inclusive by design, deploying a variety of strategies and best practices to offset and overcome these barriers, with annual costs in excess of £20,000.

Fundraising by our passionate players and supporters, like Jamie and Nels, ensures we can sustain this vital community and continue our important mission. Please give what you can in support of our terrific runners and the amazing club!
