Hi my name is Daniella, I’ll be running the Coventry Half Marathon to raise money for Afaf Above the Water, a charity created in memory of my friend Afaf, who passed away in August 2024 at just 18 years old.

Afaf was a truly kind and compassionate person who cared deeply about helping others. To honour her life and the way she always supported people around her, Afaf Above the Water was created to continue to show the love and kindness she brought into the world.

Afaf Above the Water supports vulnerable individuals in the community, including orphans, elderly people, cancer patients, and families facing financial hardship. The charity also carries out outreach in hospitals, hospices, and care homes and works to support disadvantaged children.

Running this half marathon is a small way for me to remember Afaf and help continue the impact she had on so many people. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much and will go directly towards supporting the charity’s work.
