Completing an Ironman 703 for Pete, his family and MND
Donation protected
Hi my name is Elle, I am completing an Ironman 703 in September. I don’t swim or cycle unless it’s a 30 min spin class so I’ve got ALOT of training to do
I’ll be swimming 1.3 miles in the sea followed by 60 miles on a bike and finishing with running a half marathon.
I am raising money for MND, my Granny passed away from MND when I was 11years old so I’ve seen first hand what this horrible disease can do and now my friend Pete Eveleigh.
Here is his story:
Pete a is a 32-year-old husband to Jess and father to their four-year-old son, Oliver. In 2022, he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND)”a life-changing moment that brought fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak. But rather than letting it define him, Pete, along with his friends, started Mind Over MND to raise awareness, support others, and find purpose in the face of something so cruel.
Every day comes with its challenge losing strength while trying to stay present for his family, facing the unknown while holding on to hope. But Pete’s just a husband, a dad, and a mate trying to make the most of the time he has. Through Mind Over MND and Team Evo, hes met incredible people, shared his story, and found strength in the support around him.
MND is relentless, but so is love, friendship, and the determination to leave something meaningful behind. If his journey helps just one person feel less alone, then that’s what really matters.
Please dig deep for Pete, his family and raising awareness of MND
