Running the Yorkshire Dales Marathon for Mary Ann Evans Hospice

Hi, my name is Matthew Buckler, and this year I’ve set myself a challenge - I’ll be running the Yorkshire Dales Marathon on August 31st to raise money for a cause very close to my heart: Mary Ann Evans Hospice.

This incredible hospice provides compassionate care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Their work makes a world of difference during some of life’s most difficult moments, and I want to do my part to help them continue offering that care to those who need it most.

Training for a marathon is no easy feat - the Yorkshire Dales course is tough, hilly, and scenic (emphasis on tough), but every mile I run will be powered by your support and the amazing work Mary Ann Evans Hospice does every day.

Our Vision is that patients, families and carers in our community experience a journey towards end of life and into bereavement that is supported, comfortable, safe and personalised and is in a place of their choice.
