Running 800km for Nepal: East to West for a Cause

Hi my name is Rabin Gurung

This year, I want to raise charity by running 800km in 2025. Why 800km? Each year, I typically cover more than 600–700km, so to make it more meaningful, I’ve set my goal at 800km, which is equivalent to the distance across Nepal from east to west.

In the past, I’ve participated in the Trailwalker event (100km run) twice, raising funds for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and I’ve supported this charity on other occasions as well.

However, this time, I want to do something different. I’d like to raise funds for a nonprofit organization that helps people. If you know of any impactful nonprofit organizations, please recommend them to me so I can reach out to them.

In a few days, I’ll create a charity account and share it here. My target is to raise £800, and I’ll share updates on how much is collected at the end of each month to ensure transparency. By the end of the year, I’ll personally donate the money, either directly or through friends, and I’ll also share how much we raise and where it’s donated.
