Running 50km in memory of my beloved Nan

Sadly we lost my beloved Nan recently, after a 3 year battle against pancreatic cancer.

Nan was always a great lover of the outdoors and has walked many miles with her friends over the years. She loved a challenge and a beautiful view, The South West coast path is something Nan and her friend have been walking over the years, however, sadly Nan wasn’t able to complete the last 100 miles due to her illness. Over the last few weeks of Nans life she was fortunate enough to be in the comfort of her own home due to the amazing nurses which are at the heart of The Seaton Hospice at home team, we are eternally grateful to them because we know how much this meant to Nan for her to be at home during this time.

I want to give something back to the nurses, therefore in January 2024 I'm going to be running The Endurancelife North Cornwall Ultra which is a 50km run which takes part in Polzeath and runs north with a total of 6500ft of elevation.

Nan loved visiting Cornwall for holidays so it holds a special place in all of our hearts.

More information about Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends: Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends funds much needed equipment for Seaton Hospital and also entirely funds Seaton Hospice at Home, a service providing expert nursing care to adults registered with a Beer, Colyton or Seaton GP who wish to remain at home at the end of life. The service also provides advice and support to carers and families of people with end of life care needs.
