Running 26.2 miles for Promised love orphanage - Uganda

This year, I am taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life by running the London Marathon something I never imagined myself doing. I applied with no real running background, and with the odds of being selected being so low, I truly believe that this opportunity was given to me by God to do something meaningful and impactful.

I am running to raise funds for Promised Love of Children Orphanage in Uganda, an organisation that provides care, protection, and hope to over 20 vulnerable young people full time who deserve the same opportunities and future that many of us are blessed with.

Supporting young people has always meant a lot to me. I strongly believe that when you invest in a child, you are investing in an entire community. Every single donation, no matter how big or small, can have a powerful and lasting impact on a child’s life.

After speaking with Enock, the man responsible for caring for these children, I learned more about the daily challenges he faces. Some of the biggest struggles are ensuring that the children always have a roof over their heads and enough food to eat. He also shared that he has always wanted to teach them practical life skills but has never had the funds available to make this possible.

Through this fundraiser, we hope to change that.
Money raised will help provide safe shelter and regular meals for the children, giving them the stability they need to grow and thrive. Alongside this, some of the funds will be used to teach young people valuable, practical skills that can help them earn an income and become independent. This includes training in hairdressing, barbering, tailoring, welding, and farming.

These skills will give them the opportunity to support themselves, build confidence, and create a better future . My hope is that once they have learned these skills, they will be able to pass on their knowledge and teach younger children, creating a cycle of growth, opportunity, and empowerment within their community.

This fundraiser is about more than running 26.2 miles. It is about giving young people hope, stability, and the tools they need to succeed. It is about showing them that people across the world believe in them and care about their future.

I am incredibly grateful for any support you can give, whether through donating, sharing this page, or keeping me in your prayers.

Together, we can make a real and lasting difference.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
