Running 100 Miles supporting In Sam’s Name

On the 21st September I’ll be taking part in an endurance event covering 100 miles of the local area in under 24 hours. I’m doing this to raise awareness of Men’s Mental Health within Bassetlaw and raise money in aid of In Sam’s Name.

In Sam’s Name is a peer support group for men who are 18+ suffering from mental health issues throughout Nottinghamshire. The aim is to break the stigma of talking about mental health and prevent suicide within males.

The purpose of In Sam’s Name is to help members find strength from other men that are going through or who have previously experienced mental health issues through the power of conversation, friendship and additional support.
