My Dear Friends,
Anyone who knew my mother would know she would not approve of me putting her in the spotlight - unless it was for a good cause. So much of her life was dedicated to helping others and in two weeks I will be taking a page from her playbook when I run the LA Marathon to raise money for a poor family in Israel who does not have enough money to properly fund their daughter’s wedding. The mitzvah of 'hacnasat kalah', or helping poor brides get married, is extremely unique and praiseworthy and concerning it we state daily in the morning prayers: "these are the things which a person eats of their fruit in this world but of whose principle remains intact in the world to come...."
Come and join us as we help those less fortunate than us and honor the memory of a truly special soul.
All donations will go directly to the bride and her family.
