Run for Racine County Foster Care

As I lace up my sneakers and prepare to run a half marathon, my heart is full of purpose. This isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about making a difference. I’m running to raise money for Racine County Foster Care, an organization that provides support, care, and a sense of home to children who need it the most.

Growing up, my family opened our hearts and home to approximately 13 foster children and fortunately were able to adopt my youngest brother Drew, while doing so! I have seen firsthand the incredible impact that love and stability can have on a child's life. These kids arrived at our door with stories of struggle, but through our support, many of them found a sense of safety, belonging, and hope.

Today, there are still so many children in our community who are waiting for a home, for someone to care, and for someone to show them that they matter. Running this race is my way of giving back to those who still need it. Every mile I run is for the children who deserve a chance at a better life, for the families who open their doors and hearts, and for the countless workers and volunteers who tirelessly work to make sure no child is left behind.

I know I can't change everything, but I can take one step, one mile, one donation at a time, to help provide the resources and support that these children need to thrive. The funds raised will go towards camp, athletic, and club fees, school trips, extracurricular activities, school supplies, formula/diapers, car seats, sensory items, and household items for youth who are aging out of the system.
