My name is Sam Blechman and I am raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in the name of my late brother, Max Blechman. I am raising money by running 27+ miles on the Montour Bike Trail on October 2nd, 2021 in honor of Max's 27th birthday, which would have been this year (September 29th).

I am also collecting pledges for donations per extra mile I run beyond 27. If you pledge $5 per extra mile and I complete 34 miles (7 extra miles), you will have donated $35. Pledges for donations per extra mile can be made by contacting me personally in the following ways:

If you make a pledge, you don't owe any money until the day I finish the run (Saturday, October 2nd). At that point I will contact you, inform you about how much you owe based on your pledge amount and the number of extra miles I ran (if any!).

Donations made through this gofundme page will go directly to AFSP. You can also donate via the RunForMax Facebook page, on my instagram account (@samblechman), by sending me money through venmo (@samblechman) which I will then donate to AFSP myself, or by mailing me a check (email/message me for an address). Silent donations directly to AFSP are always welcome, but I think it would be awesome to be able to calculate a total amount by the end of this. As of September 14th, 2021, donations total over $10,000 and another $152 per extra mile I run. There is still time to donate!
