Run for Equality: Support HRC

I’ve decided to set myself a little challenge and run a 5K — yes, you read that right! Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn’t run for a bus, so this is going to be no small feat. I’ll be running the Two Bears 5K in Tampa on May 4th with Jelly Roll, and I’m both excited and absolutely terrified. But I’m determined to prove to myself that I can do it.

Since I’m taking on this challenge, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do some good along the way. I’ll be raising money for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), which works tirelessly to promote equality and fight for the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals. They provide advocacy, education, and support to ensure that everyone, regardless of who they are or who they love, has the same opportunities and protections. And let’s be honest — in the world we’re living in now, this work is more important than ever.

So, while I’m huffing and puffing my way through those 3.1 miles, I’ll be thinking of the difference we can make together. If you’re able to, I’d be so grateful for any support — every little helps!
