On Friday 16th April (starting at 5 a.m), three of Kilkenny’s most amateur of amateur runners will run 5kms every 5 hours for a total of 55 hours to raise as much funds for the Gerlach Nascimento family. 9 year old Emily Gerlach Nascimento is currently in the very early stages of an intense 2 year treatment plan for childhood cancer at Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin and is traveling to Dublin up to three times weekly to receive this treatment. We, as a trio would love to help Emily’s family by raising as much money as possible and by having people join us for any of the individual 5km legs of the challenge.  Rumours are also beginning to circulate that we may run the challenge in fancy dress costume and who are we to downplay these rumours .
