Run For Aidan in aid of the Aidan Sutherland Foundation
Donation protected
On the 30th of november we are one again running from the home of Raith Rovers, Starks Park in Kirkcaldy, to the home of Linlithgow Rose, Prestonfield in Linlithgow, to raise funds for the Aidan Sutherland Foundation and in memory of Aidan Sutherland.
Aidan passed away in july 2017 whilst celebrating his 20th birthday in newcastle. He passed from complications due to having type 1 diabetes. Since 2017 Aidans family and friends have raised thousands for JDRF to aid the research of finding a cure for something that brings daily struggle to so many people.
Events have ranged from a football match between 2 of Aidans former clubs, to his family running the London marathon multiple times, which gave inspiration for the first run for aidan in 2019. The significance of the locations being we start at aidans boyhood club, raith rovers, and finish at a ground he found himself at frequently with me and home of his adopted team, prestonfield. The distance last time worked out at around 27/28miles, and we have decided to do it again this year to raise some funds to support the fantastic work the Aidan Sutherland Foundation does in the community and to help the research of type 1 diabetes.
Any and all donations make a big difference no matter the size, and I thank everyone in advance for any support given!
