This summer, myself and some family/friends are taking on a new challenge - the 2,800 miles USA coast to coast (virtual) challenge! It's the type of trip my father always wanted to do, so from 30th July, we are aiming to complete the miles and raise some further funds for the British Heart Foundation along the way. I'll be joined by Hannah, Karla, Ian, Phil, Sean, Rachael & Dave. Also guest support from Milo, Alma & Russell, and Cheryl!
My father Tony died suddenly on the 30th July last year, his death was caused by Ischaemic heart disease or more commonly know as Coronary heart disease. He was as and fit and healthy as a man half his age and showed no sign of ill health. This is a silent killer globally and through charities such as the British Heart Foundation we can raise awareness and make a difference to thousands of people who will unaware of the deadly condition. To support this charity I ran the Great North Run in the sunny town of Newcastle and the Lanzarote half marathon last December. Now time to tackle the virtual coast to coast and with your help, hit our fundraising target!
Every donation will help and I thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and my family.
So trainers on and onwards, by the way I’m not sweating it’s just my fat crying..
