I am running 100 miles to raise donations for cancer research because cancer is a fight that has touched nearly every family, including my own. In the United States alone, nearly 2 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2025, and cancer remains the second leading cause of death nationwide.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, with more than 300,000 women in the U.S. expected to be diagnosed this year, and it continues to be a source of worry and heartbreak for countless families. Behind these numbers are real people: mothers, fathers, siblings, and friends, whose lives are forever altered. By funding research, we can drive innovation in prevention, detection, and treatment, and ultimately bring us closer to a cure.

Every mile of this 100-mile journey is my way of standing with those fighting, honoring survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and fueling hope for a future where cancer no longer claims so much. Together, we can turn endurance into impact and miles into meaningful change.
