I have never been one to reach out for help. Until today. I have taken life's challenges as they have come at me. Over the past few years, there have been many challenges that have all compiled upon me now at once. My ex-husband (as of one month now) has manipulated the court system and my ability to refinance my home. He left us and moved to another state with no notice a year ago, right when I had been recently diagnosed with cancer. He took his income and support of our family with him. I wasn't able to work due to degenerative disks in my back requiring surgery which I haven't been able to have. Disability has been applied for twice and is still in process, leaving me with no income. I have sold my personal items to pay the mortgage on the home which I owned prior to getting married. None of it mattered. The court assigned the home to him. The man who physically and mentally abused me for years so bad - that I had to have restraining orders placed on him. My twin daughters Callie and Alyssa (his step-daughters), our shepherd Belle, and our cat Jangle only have until Friday to pay off my ex, per the divorce decree. I need $80,000 to pay him off and keep the house. If I can't, we are going to be homeless. He gets complete control of the home and intends to evict us otherwise. I have tried every possible option up to now and have come up empty. We are desperate. The twins' father has split custody, but he himself is battling cancer. Keeping their childhood home in my possession and having a home for them to finish high school is my only desire. I never thought life could be this cruel. If you can spare anything, please do.
