Blue's Run for Miss Ruby's Kids

My wife Bari and I moved to South Carolina almost three years ago, and when we moved, we decided that we wanted to focus the majority of our charitable work we do to the local community.  Two years ago, we partnered with Suzanne Evans Coaching and completely funded a Habitat for Humanity house in Georgetown County.

This year, our two companies have commited to help fund a local charity called Miss Ruby's Kids.  Miss Ruby's Kids supports early childhood learning here in Georgetown county, preparing children to be able to learn as they enter school, with the goal of having them get all the way through high school and graduate.

This past January, I began training for a 1/2 marathon, which is now fast approaching... July 3rd, 2015.  I'm going to be running 13.1 miles between Murrells Inlet and Pawley's Island between 8am and whenever I complete it... I'm guessing it will be about 10:30am (I'm new to this whole running thing).

I recently decided to combine both my personal training with  our fund raising goals... I'd like to ask for your support in raising at least $1,000 for each mile I run on July 3rd.  Our company, SAGE, will be contributing the first $1,000, as well as cover all fees associated with this fundraising campaign.  GoFundMe charges 7.9%, and we'll be topping this up when we make our final contribution to Miss Ruby's Kids to ensure 100% of your contribution goes to the cause.
