We are coming together to honor the memory of Rubilhyn Ampon Santos Magpayo (Ruby), who passed away on 09/10/2025. Ruby was a beloved member of our family and community, and this loss has left a deep void in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Born on 11/09/89 on the beautiful island of Oahu, she was the second youngest of 6 kids. She is survived by her loving husband, age 35, and four children, ages 12, 10, 8, and 3, who are deeply affected by her passing. Ruby touched many hearts with kindness, warmth, and a generous spirit. Above all, she was most passionate about being a mom, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, and a daughter. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love and energy into every relationship. Ruby was known for her big, bright smile that lit up every room and made everyone feel welcome and loved.
Ruby was also passionate about surfing, pickleball, and playing the piano, sharing her musical talent at church to bring comfort and inspiration to others.
Ruby’s passing was sudden and heartbreaking. She was recently diagnosed with genetic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and was waiting to see a specialist at Stanford Hospital. One evening, after putting her children to bed and while her husband was at work, Ruby collapsed during a pickleball game. Despite lifesaving attempts, her heart stopped and she did not wake up. Ruby is now resting in Christ, and her family and friends are left to cherish her memory and legacy.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward urgent funeral expenses, including the service, burial, and any related costs. This support will also help family members who are traveling or taking time away from work to be together during this difficult period. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on remembering Ruby’s life and legacy.
We are grateful for any support, whether it’s a donation, sharing this fundraiser with others, or sending messages of comfort. Your kindness and encouragement mean so much to us as we navigate this challenging time. Thank you for helping us honor Ruby and support her family.
