Each year, Rod selects kids who rarely get the chance to travel outside their hometown, let alone out of state. Many of these children have never experienced a trip away from home, and the Rubonia Walk On DC is designed to give them a week they’ll never forget. The impact goes beyond the kids themselves—one year, a 16-year-old participant spent his first week away from his mother, allowing her to relax and focus on self-care, knowing her child was safe and supported.

The funds raised will cover hotel, transportation, food, tickets, and other expenses for the trip. Every dollar goes directly toward making this experience possible, helping these remarkable kids explore new places, build confidence, and create memories that last a lifetime.
